About us

Wishtrac is an innovative company dedicated to improving education standards in schools throughout the UK amongst children of all abilities.

Formed in 2005 by former Deputy Head Teacher Paul Strongman, Wishtrac's unique educational software programs are borne out of Paul's 15 years experience of teaching in the classroom.

With more and more emphasis placed on teaching children using modern ICT methods, never before have teachers needed more help in using software that provides lesson support and has genuine educational content. What sets Wishtrac apart is our passion for teaching which means that in everything we do we aim to:

  1. Help children of all abilities improve their skills
  2. Support teachers in the classroom and adapt to the latest teaching methods
  3. Deliver to national curriculum standards

Wishtrac ensures all our software is supported with notes, classroom aids and computer based activities providing teachers with the tools to teach and pupils with a number of enjoyable tasks to encourage learning and improve skills.

Teacher support

As well as notes to help teachers plan lessons and tailor study to meet the individual needs of the child, Wishtrac also has a dedicated support line to help teachers with technical issues as well as classroom support.

Software Development

Our in-house software development team are working hard on new software releases.  Our current project centres around young pupils using computers whilst completing the early stages of a synthetic phonics scheme.  Simple typing activities, coupled with mouse-skills and counting activities will help develop all pupils’ use of computers, keyboards and mice!

Our creative development team, led by Jamie Major, work closely with a number of schools to develop new educational software, with an emphasis on working with school SENCOs. The following have also been instrumental in the development of recent software:

Sue Hornby - Ex. Deputy Head Teacher and SENCO

Carol Strawbridge - SENCO and Senior Teacher

Joy Moule - Year 2 Classroom Teacher

David Hornby - Ex. Deputy Head Teacher & LEA Rep

Chloe Bagnall – BSc (Hons) Physical Geography; MSc in Environmental Science

Sarah Hughes - Sefton Education Officer – PCT

John Strongman – FCCA - Senior Software Development Tester

Jonathan Bruce - Marketing & Development Consultant
